RADIANT CHILD YOGA PROGRAM 1-2 TEACHER TRAINING

Radiant Child Yoga Program is a certificate teacher training program for anyone interested in giving children the gift of yoga - perfect for certified and aspiring yoga teachers, school teachers, parents, therapists, day-care workers, and many others! This insightful 20-hour weekend training program, founded by Shakta Kaur Khalsa, is designed for all yoga traditions and for all levels of experience with either children and/or yoga.  Level 1 takes place on Friday and Saturday, and Level 2 on SUNDAY, builds on the course work in Level 1. The course itinerary covers:

    * Guidelines for teaching children of all ages from babies to teens
    * Yoga songs and games that children love
    * Time for sharing knowledge and networking with others
    * Exploring a variety of meditation practices:  using breath, singing, movement, and silence
    * Brain-balancing yoga and Brain Gym skills
    * Yoga in Motion movements, games, and dances that children love
    * Practical tips for keeping the class focused and engaged
    * Breathing practices/meditation with children
    * Using yoga sets with children
    * Keeping yourself centered when working with children
    * Powerful yoga and meditation for you as the teacher
    * Collaborate with others to create a unique yoga presentation based on what you’ve learned
    * Practical tools for any situation that arises when working with children
    * Setting up children’s yoga business/classes
    * Yoga for ADD/ADHD, Autism, DSI and SPD
    * Adapting yoga for schools

    * Course is approximately 50% lecture and 50% practice, and is serious fun!

A workshop for teachers, parents, therapists, and all who would like to Give Children the Gift of Yoga
Learn basic yoga and meditation techniques that work with children. Be introduced to how yoga can be a wonderful non-competitive, confidence-building, fun experience for kids! Be empowered -- learn techniques, tools and resources to help you create and teach a series of children's yoga classes. Learn how yoga can reveal the radiance of each child and how you can help! This course can be modified for your specific interests. Typically 3-4 hours long, tuition ~$50 or €40 per person; discount for early registration or large groups.
