Connect Protect Respect© -

In 1995 and 1996, Cristin worked with an amazing group of Naturalist Teachers at two different outdoor education schools in the mountains of southern California. Forward-thinking public schools send sixth graders to live for a week, where hiking and the forest are the books and classroom of their education.

During that time, the synergy of some creative individuals began to grow the development of a curriculum called "Connect, Protect, Respect." It turned a fun learning opportunity into one that gave the kids intrigue and insight into themselves and their environment, and developed a rare and significant opportunity for them to connect to nature and to let their own spirits emerge in a profound way.

Cristin takes this to the next level, creating a yoga curriculum that merges with environmental education, to help kids connect to the earth, realizing that not only do they support the earth, but are supported by it as well. Connect, Protect, Respect© leads children to find that self-respect has a wide circle, and that their health, vitality and inner radiance are one with that of the earth.
